Solutions & Multi-Asset is a global team with assets under management on behalf of retail and institutional clients. The team manages investment strategies across various franchises, including Income, Volatility Managed, Absolute & Total Return, and Risk Rated & Open Architecture, designed to deliver specific outcomes for clients across market cycles. Portfolio Managers at Fidelity Solutions & Multi-Asset draw on an extensive toolkit for delivering investment objectives, including a large and well-resourced investment research team (comprising Tactical Allocation Research, Manager Research and Quantitative Research), as well as a dedicated Risk & Analytics team and implementation specialists. These resources support investment decision-making across various portfolio construction disciplines, including tactical asset allocation, strategy selection and risk management.
The China MA team will manage onshore mutual funds and segregated mandates. The department’s edge is to bring local expertise required for China but also to bring the global knowledge base through true multi asset thinking, long term fundamental research and outcomes for key areas such as income and retirement. The team’s expertise is both in direct investing and a dedicated Fund of Fund (FoF) department.
The principal purpose of the role is the active management of China income MA strategies according to agreed investment processes and philosophy in order to add value on behalf of clients. As portfolio manager you will make all decisions relating to the investment of your assigned funds, although will do so following Fidelity Solutions processes and specifically with reference to inputs from the tactical and strategic asset allocation teams, as well as the manager selection analysts.
You will play an important role in the development of China onshore technical asset allocation and strategy & instrument research process. You will manage mutual funds within the defined multi-asset investment process and philosophy.
Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in Multi-Asset strategy and portfolio management. Over 3 years of traceable performance is preferred. Substantial experience in multi-asset and onshore Tactical Asset Allocation skills and/or in direct equity or fixed income portfolio management. Experience with stable return focused products & solutions. Experience with mutual funds / wholesale business is a positive. High standard of personal integrity and alignment with Fidelity’s required values and behaviours. An entrepreneurial mindset to develop client focused solutions / products. Effective communicator and desire to be part of a dynamic investment team. International experience preferred (work or education). CFA qualification preferred, or studying towards the CFA designation.
