MEP Project Coordinator

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
MEP Coordination (Projects & Sites): Coordinate MEP services (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) among site teams, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines. Facilitate timely review and distribution of MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built documentation. Follow up on technical submittals such as material approvals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and ensure responses aretracked. Identify clashes or discrepancies in drawings and raise them for resolution. Assist in planning and tracking progress of MEP activities to ensure alignment with overall project schedules. Attend project coordination meetings and ensure site teams are updated with the latest approved drawings and documents.Document Control: Receive, log, control, and distribute all incoming and outgoing MEP documents including shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, andapprovals. Maintain a comprehensive document control register and ensure proper version control and tracking. File and archive project documentation in both hard and soft copies, accessible for audits or reference. Support the project team in ensuring compliance with internal and client documentation standards.Manpower Allocation & Timesheet Management: Allocate and monitor MEP manpower across different project sites based on scope and project needs. Track and update daily manpower deployment and ensure adequate resource planning. Maintain accurate attendance records using daily logs or attendance software/sheets. Prepare weekly/monthly timesheets for site teams and coordinate with HR or payroll for processing. Report manpower utilization and highlight any attendance or productivity issues.
Qualifications & Skills: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. 3–5 years of experience in MEP coordination and documentation roles within construction projects. Familiar with construction project documentation including drawings, submittals, and RFI processes. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD; familiarity with document control platforms. Good understanding of MEP systems and coordination practices. Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Desirable Attributes: Attention to detail and consistency in document handling. Capable of managing priorities across multiple projects. Able to work independently and collaboratively within site-based project teams. Willingness to travel between sites as required.
