About the Opportunity
E-Trade Portfolio Manager

Are you ready to lead and drive business growth in commercial underwriting? QBE is seeking an experienced Underwriting professional to join our team and shape the future of our e-trade portfolio.
In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure profitable sales, sustainable growth, and strong customer relationships. You'll be responsible for product strategy, pricing, and portfolio management, while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
This is a key leadership role for e-trade, overseeing our P&L for designated business lines including Property, Financial Lines, and Cyber.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement portfolio strategy across the value chain, aligned with the overarching business strategy.
- Manage the portfolio P&L to achieve targets and drive profitable growth.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including product, pricing, and underwriting standards.
- Develop and execute product strategies to support profitability and sustainable growth.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimal performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to maximize influence and business outcomes.
- Deliver accurate and timely management information to support decision-making.
- Translate strategic plans into operational objectives for the business unit.
- Develop networks and relationships internally and externally to ensure seamless delivery of the insurance value chain.
About You
Experience in a senior level Underwriting role in a general insurance business.
Proven leadership skills
Knowledge of e-trade technology and platforms, and how we can best utilize them
Commercial acumen and senior stakeholder management experience
Excellent communication and influencing skills
