Job PurposeThe role will focus on supporting the Portfolio Management team, conducting research for the use of the investment team, and generating investment content for sales and marketing with a strong focus on presentation creation & curation. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of investments and asset classes in a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the ongoing portfolio monitoring and risk management process.Ensure that the funds meet their investment objectives.Support the sales process, by producing ideas/content or answering client questions.Help build out the systems and processes, around data and improve efficiencies of tasks, with the aim to speed up and increase accuracy.Monitor market trends, economic data, and portfolio positions.Assist in preparing investment recommendations and internal presentations.Participate in driving strategic projects, investment meetings, contributing insights.
Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business/ Finance / Economics degree from a top-tier universityAn MBA from a reputable school or CFA designation is an advantage4-7 years’ experience in Fund Management and/or Buy Side Equity ResearchPrior experience in ETF fund management and/or retirement fundsInterest in coding/data or willingness to learnInterest in markets and investing, with an ability to articulate investment ideasExposure to equities, commodities and/or fixed incomeProgress toward CFA/CAIA designation is a plusBesides people with background in asset management and research, candidates with management consulting experience in Big Three firms are encouraged to applyStrong analytical and financial modelling skillsProficient in visual storytelling and data visualization, including the design of impactful slide decksExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic is a plusHigh level of intellectual curiosity and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamStrong work ethic and commitment to continuous learningStrong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg
