Salary/Level: Class 1 $204,404 pa, PSCSAA 20241x
Full-Time, Fixed Term position available until 30 June 2030

The Department of Housing and Works delivers and maintains essential social housing and critical infrastructure across Western Australia—including schools, hospitals, and police facilities. We manage tenancy services, support housing provision in remote Aboriginal communities, and oversee government employee accommodation. Through office accommodation solutions, State Fleet management, procurement, planning and asset policy, we empower other government agencies to deliver their best.

About The Role

The position currently oversees the delivery of Complex Programs which are high-volume, capital-intensive initiatives that also provide socio-economic benefits to communities across WA. These programs include the Kimberley Flood Recovery Program and the North-West Aboriginal Housing Fund (NWAHF), along with agency’s Spot Purchase and Property Transactions programs.

The leadership context for this role is Leading Leader. This context is about leading teams to achieve the strategic direction of a number of different business areas and to implement the associated operational strategies. To be successful for the role, you will need to demonstrate the expected behaviors and mindsets in this context.

Currently there is one (1) full-time, fixed-term appointment until 30 June 2030 with a possible extension, available for filling. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to appoint to this advertised vacancy, it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that may arise in the Department within the next twelve (12) months on a full-time, part-time, fixed-term basis.

The Department may conduct an Executive Search to supplement the field of applicants.
