About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Principal (Technical Director) level Project Director seeking to apply their skills to deliver solutions directly with clients and join our growing Advisory team in Sydney. This newly established role is focused on leading complex projects for our key energy clients – from pursuits, through design delivery and construction. You’ll play a pivotal role both providing project management services directly to our clients, and leading and managing Beca’s multi-disciplinary engineering design services for complex projects. You will embrace the challenge and be part of an exciting journey, taking on the key leadership role in driving our growth through strong client relations and outstanding delivery in the energy market Advisory business. Leveraging both new and existing client relationships, you’ll help expand our presence in the energy sector across Sydney and the broader NSW region.

About You

Ideally you will be an experienced project management specialist with proven delivery, risk management ability and business and commercial acumen across the energy market.

Eligibility

To be considered for this opportunity, you will require:

  • Proven project management leadership and experience with power systems (renewables, future energy, generation, transmission, distribution, automation)
  • An in-depth understanding of project management principles and experience including leadership, procurement, cost control and management of complex projects
  • Strong interest in mentoring junior team members and helping them grow their skills and talent and help strengthen our project management and professional capability through development and succession planning
  • Proven track record identifying and securing new projects and partnering with the team to lead and support bids
  • A passion and capability in building new client stakeholder relationships and enhancing existing relationships
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to build relationships both externally and internally
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification aligned to project management, engineering or other related disciplines
  • A positive and tenacious attitude with an ability to make things happen and alignment with our company purpose to “Make Everyday Better”
