Position title: Portfolio Manager: Renewable Energy

Division: Merchant West - Asset Finance

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in driving business growth, maximizing profitability, and fostering strong client relationships through effective new business development, rigorous financial analysis, and strategic cross-selling efforts.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within specific sectors such as Aviation, Agriculture, Transport, Technology, Renewable Energy, Yellow Metal, etc.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and deals.
• Analyze market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
• Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and propose tailored financial solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure deals that meet both client requirements and company objectives.
• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Evaluate the financial viability of proposed deals and assess their potential impact on overall profitability.
• Ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure.
• Develop strong relationships with existing clients to uncover additional business needs and promote complementary products or services.
• Measure quality of leads provided to other business units within the Merchant West Group of companies.

Eligibility

Qualifications: BCom degree with Finance and/or Mathematics, Accounting as subject(s)

Experience

4+ years’ experience in a sales position with a financial background/solution selling

Relationships and client/dealer base within sector

Ability to understand and analyze financial statements

Familiar with National Credit Act

Skills

• Interest and knowledge in Renewable Energy sector and assets
• Strong understanding of Renewable Energy markets, technologies, and regulatory environments
• Driver’s License (Code 08)
