Electrical Project Director

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrical Project Director to lead the delivery of a technically complex, high-value project. The successful candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of the project, ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and team leadership throughout.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the Electrical scope for a major construction project.
• Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with all technical, safety, and quality standards.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Drive commercial performance, cost control, and risk management.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Report progress to senior leadership and provide strategic input on project direction.

Qualifications

Proven experience delivering complex Electrical projects exceeding £20m in value. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. Excellent commercial acumen and contract management experience. In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, electrical systems, and construction methodologies. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
