About Us

The Community Housing Industry Association Victoria (CHIA Vic) is the peak body representing Victoria’s not-for-profit community housing sector. CHIA Vic advocates for and supports the community housing sector to grow and thrive as part of a housing system where all Victorians have the dignity of an appropriate, secure, and affordable home.

About the Role

This new position will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of energy efficiency audits across the community housing sector. Working closely with CHOs and our data project partner, the role will:

  • Support housing charities to collect data on the energy efficiency of the homes they manage
  • Coordinate analysis and prepare portfolio-wide business cases for property upgrades
  • Oversee physical audits of housing stock
  • Engage stakeholders across the sector and government to ensure the project achieves its goals

This role is suited to an organized and solutions-focused professional with strong project management skills, the ability to communicate complex information clearly, and an interest in both energy efficiency and social housing.

The position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with part-time (minimum 4 days per week) and flexible working arrangements available. Salary packaging and other benefits are provided in line with the SCHADS Award.

Eligibility

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Strong project management skills
  • The ability to source, analyze, interpret, and present complex information in a manner that meets the needs of target audiences
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including experience engaging with and influencing stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in property auditing, energy efficiency, or property project management will be highly regarded
