About the Opportunity
Sanlam Developing Markets [SDM] (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited) is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover, and personal accident plans. In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focuses on retail products, as well as group schemes.
Responsibilities
- Vest, partner and grow selected franchises
- Assist in setting up / transitioning new franchise businesses
- Provide operational, technical, and business support to franchisees
- Assist in franchise portfolio growth and business expansion
- Source and recruit financial advisers, sales managers, and branch managers
- Develop and expand existing markets
- Compliance & risk management
- Manage quality of new business
- Provide training and sales support to franchises
- Practice development
- Analysis of management reports
- Business relationship building
- Conservation / pay point control and worksites focus
- Continuous improvement of service standards to clients
Eligibility
Qualification and Experience:
- Matric
- A Marketing or Financial qualification will be an added advantage
- At least 3 years sales experience, with a minimum of one year in a Sales Management or Sales Management support function
- Preference given to candidates from the financial services industry
- Preference given to candidates with solid understanding of Sky processes and systems
- Preference given to candidates with RE5 & RE1
