Project Coordinator

Job Description

About the Opportunity

VIQU has partnered with a leading professional services organisation seeking a proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of strategic IT and enterprise programmes. This hands-on role provides crucial support to Programme and Project Managers, ensuring governance, reporting, and day-to-day project activities run smoothly. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking initiative, working across multiple workstreams, and ensuring projects remain on track.

Responsibilities

  • Support Programme and Project Managers across all phases of the project lifecycle, driving governance and operational delivery.
  • Maintain project trackers, dashboards, action logs, and documentation to provide clear visibility of programme health.
  • Collate, analyse, and present status reports, highlighting risks, issues, dependencies, and progress against milestones.
  • Support programme boards, steering committees, workshops, and other governance forums.
  • Chase outstanding actions and ensure tasks are progressing, proactively flagging delays or issues to the PM.
  • Assist with resource tracking, allocation, and financial reporting, including budget monitoring and forecasting.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure projects meet deadlines and objectives.

About You

Key Requirements of the Project Coordinator:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a project support, PMO, or project analyst role, ideally within professional services or legal environments.
  • Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, able to take ownership, speak up, and chase progress without constant direction.
  • Comfortable participating in meetings, workshops, and supporting senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in stakeholder engagement.
