The Clinical Informatics Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of clinical informatics projects and initiatives within NHG Group Health Informatics. This role involves planning, management, coordination, and execution of NGEMR-Epic programmes as well as clinical systems projects to ensure they align with NHG’s vision and mission, as well as ensure that the projects deliver value in terms of improved patient outcomes, operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.
Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations. Excellent project management, organisational and coordination skills; ability to sequence activities logically. Excellent and effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Proactive, resourceful, and highly adaptable. Good planning, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Education/Training/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management, Computer Science, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or a related field. Technical proficiency in informatics tools and systems and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic EMR, is advantageous. Proven experience in project management and portfolio management in a healthcare setting. Proven track record of leading diverse project teams and managing senior stakeholders. Professional certification in Project Management, ITIL or equivalent areas is optional.
