CIO/Senior Portfolio Manager (Insurance, Open Budget)

About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking talented individuals for the following positions:

Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and execute the company’s strategic investment plan across asset classes (equities, fixed income, etc.)
    • Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, and performance monitoring
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations
    • Lead relationships with external fund managers, banks, and investment partners
    • Monitor macroeconomic trends, market developments, and geopolitical risks
    • Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams to align investment strategy with liability profiles
    • Present investment performance and strategy updates to the Board and senior leadership
  • Qualifications
    • Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
    • CFA or equivalent professional certification preferred
    • Minimum 15 years of investment experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    • Deep understanding of China’s capital markets, insurance regulations, and global investment trends
    • Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English

Senior Portfolio Manager (Fixed Income)

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Manage assigned portfolios and ensure performance targets are met
    • Conduct fundamental and quantitative research to support investment decisions
    • Monitor portfolio risk metrics and ensure adherence to investment guidelines
    • Prepare investment reports and contribute to strategy discussions
    • Liaise with external managers and service providers
    • Support CIO in strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
    • CFA or progress toward certification preferred
    • Minimum 8 years of investment experience, ideally in insurance or asset management
    • Strong analytical and modeling skills; proficiency in Bloomberg, Wind, Excel
    • Fluent in Mandarin; English proficiency preferred
