Job Description

These roles are central to supporting the delivery of digital transformation across a dynamic portfolio of programmes and projects. You will work closely with delivery teams, senior stakeholders, and governance bodies to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and effective prioritisation of digital initiatives.

  • Manage and support the prioritisation of a portfolio of digital projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Engage with stakeholders across departments to ensure transparency, collaboration, and shared understanding of delivery progress.
  • Guide teams in following governance and delivery processes, including agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, risks, and dependencies to enable informed decision making.
  • Support continuous improvement and promote best practices in digital portfolio management.
  • Provide line management, mentoring, and countersigning support as required.

About You

You’ll also bring strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and transform insights into meaningful, actionable recommendations that support strategic outcomes.

In addition, you’ll have experience in digital delivery, portfolio or programme management, and be confident navigating governance frameworks and delivery processes.

Hybrid Working

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in the office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance.
