Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Asia Equity Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage equity portfolios with a focus on Asian markets. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in equity portfolio management, with a strong preference for candidates who have covered the Indian market. This role requires deep market knowledge, analytical rigor, and a proven track record of generating alpha in Asian equities. He must also be comfortable working within a more quantitative investment process driven by big data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage equity investment strategies focused on Asian markets, with an emphasis on generating consistent risk-adjusted returns.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of Asian equity markets, including macroeconomic trends, sector developments, and company-specific opportunities, particularly in India.
  • Actively manage portfolio allocations, ensuring alignment with investment objectives, risk parameters, and client mandates.
  • Provide regular market updates, investment recommendations, and performance reports to senior management and clients.
  • Collaborate with research analysts, traders, and other portfolio managers to enhance investment processes and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, analysts, and industry experts.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any quantitative fields.
  • At least 7 years of experience in managing an Asia portfolio with good familiarity with India.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Indian equity markets, sectors, and regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in tools like Bloomberg, FactSet, or Capital IQ.
  • Strong quantitative research skills are highly valued especially proficiency in data science or any coding experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
