Senior Geotechnical Project Manager

About the Opportunity

Ian Farmer Associates are recruiting for a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to support the team in Glasgow, UK. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the cost basis for the office in relation to profit and loss
  • Keeping project financial information up-to-date
  • Provide monthly updates on the development of the office and team
  • Review client technical specifications for tendering and project preparation
  • Carry out quality assurance checks and technical reviews
  • Lead or assist project management teams
  • Use various software including Holebase geotechnical database, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Take forward the day-to-day running/managing of the office
  • Help develop other team members
  • Assess and deal with client data queries

Eligibility

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous ground investigation experience
  • Experience of using geotechnical database software
  • BSc degree level qualified in geology/civil engineering or related environmental subject
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Good understanding of ground investigation methods
  • Competence in the use of computer software packages
  • Good oral and written skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Full, clean UK driving license
