Retail Project Coordinator

About the Opportunity

TDC&Co is a leading South African design firm based in Cape Town. For over 30 years, we’ve created innovative and functional retail spaces for both local and international brands. Our client list includes names like the Foschini Group (TFG), Shoprite Checkers, Woolworths, Mr Price Group, and Zara. We’re a team of designers and strategic thinkers with a global outlook and a strong focus on retail environments and customer experience, and we’re currently looking for someone who shares our passion for retail design to join our team as a Retail Project Coordinator for one of our key retail brands.

Responsibilities

  • Apply the brand’s design guidelines and finishes consistently across all projects.
  • Understand shopfitting and fixture requirements within a grocery retail context.
  • Travel regularly to sites across South Africa.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare site reports, and provide feedback to the team.
  • Identify design issues on-site and communicate them clearly to the internal team.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, architects, shopfitters, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multiple projects, manage shopfitting documentation, and track drawing updates.
  • Make quick revisions to drawings when needed - working knowledge of Revit is essential.

Qualifications & Experience

A 3-year Interior Design qualification or an Architectural degree. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office. 2–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, or retail drafting.
