About the Opportunity

Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing. Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.

Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and delivery of a project aimed at enhancing LSV’s culture and wellbeing through education, resources, and initiatives that promote respectful interactions, improve relationships, and foster a positive environment for staff, members, and volunteers.
  • Assist in the rollout of a targeted training program delivered via our partner network, designed to encourage psychological safety and support sustained positive behaviour change.
  • Coordinate project activities to ensure effective implementation and tracking of progress.
  • Provide regular updates on communications and action items to the Steering Committee and Project Team.
  • Support the facilitation of reference groups, surveys, and other engagement forums to assist with data collection, analysis, and sharing of insights.

About You

You will be a passionate advocate for a positive work culture and wellbeing, with experience in driving change and fostering inclusive environments. You thrive in coordinating projects from start to finish, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create meaningful, long-lasting impact. With strong communication skills, you’re committed to promoting respect, psychological safety, and positive behaviour across teams, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported. A qualification in social sciences, human resources, project management or related discipline. Demonstrated experience in social planning or impact, people and culture, community development or a related field developing and implementing a range of learning and diversity campaigns, events and programs. Ability to educate and advocate on disadvantage and other diversity and access issues with strong communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to support teams to meet objectives with minimal supervision and in a multi-task environment. Must have or be able to obtain an employee Working with Children Check.
