Remuneration: $127,150.00 - $144,444.00 per annum, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading

What you’ll be doing

Develop, implement and evaluate skin cancer prevention strategies and support healthy living activities by engaging with the community and key stakeholders (including government and non-government organisations, academics, Local Health Districts, peak bodies and advocacy groups) to reduce the incidence and prevalence of skin and lifestyle related cancers.

The Portfolio Manager-Skin Cancer and Healthy Living works within the Cancer Screening and Prevention Division and is a senior member of the Prevention team. The role is responsible for the facilitation of a range of cross-sector initiatives under the NSW Skin Cancer Prevention Strategy, as well as projects promoting healthy living and cancer prevention. This is a challenging and rewarding role, with broad strategic scope and a strong focus on partnerships.

Eligibility

Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in population health, health policy, health promotion and/or social marketing
  • Knowledge and experience implementing projects in health settings, including the application of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Experience leading partnered initiatives within a health context
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of projects to meet objectives and timelines
