Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Design Project Manager to lead projects through the full design phase. This role involves working closely with clients to interpret and refine their design vision into practical, technical joinery solutions. You will oversee the preparation of manufacturing drawings, coordinate materials and production details, and ensure installation requirements are fully considered from the outset. This includes attending site surveys as needed to support accurate design development and installation planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bespoke joinery projects throughout the design process, from client brief to production handover
  • Translate client concepts and architectural drawings into detailed technical joinery drawings using SolidWorks
  • Collaborate with internal designers, production teams, and external stakeholders
  • Conduct and interpret site surveys, identifying key install and build considerations
  • Review materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes to ensure feasibility and quality
  • Monitor project timelines, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule
  • Communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations and approvals

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience using SolidWorks for 2D and 3D technical joinery design
Proven background in a design/project management role within the joinery, fit-out, or manufacturing sector
Strong technical knowledge of bespoke joinery construction and production methods
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of site conditions and installation logistics
