Project management is one of the fastest-growing professions in the United States, with the PMI projecting over 2.3 million new PM roles needed annually through 2030.
While PMP and CAPM dominate the US certification landscape, the IPMA-D® (the qualification earned through IPM’s Certified Project Management Diploma) is a globally recognised alternative that equips professionals with both the theoretical frameworks and practical skills US employers increasingly demand.
Fully online and self-paced, the CPMD is designed for working professionals across the US who need a flexible, internationally credible qualification without interrupting their careers.
When this course is finished, you will be able to:
Learn how to organise your projects using the five process groups listed below when using a process-based project approach:
Defining a new project or a new phase of an ongoing project by securing permission to begin the project or step is known as initiating.
Processes necessary to determine the project’s scope, hone its goals, and specify the course of action needed to achieve the goals the project was started to complete.
The procedures to carry out the tasks outlined in the project management plan meet the project’s requirements.
Processes needed to keep tabs on, evaluate, and manage the project’s performance; spot any areas where the plan needs to be changed; and start the necessary changes.
The actions taken to formally end or close a project, phase, or contract are known as closing.
The purpose of the modules is to provide a thorough understanding of the various facets of project management while assisting you in identifying the two project management methodologies that are most frequently used (predictive and agile).
Develop the full spectrum of industry-ready competences that define an effective project manager:
Gain mastery of recognised project management methods, tools, and techniques to plan, execute, and control projects with precision.
Build the leadership, communication, and professional behaviours that inspire teams, manage stakeholders, and drive results.
Understand how projects connect to wider organisational strategy, culture, and the external business environment, ensuring every project delivers real value.
Enrolment in this programme includes 12 months’ complimentary access to IPM Membership, supporting continued professional development beyond certification.
