Why join the Organisation Assessment team at the CIPD?

We are a small team working in the Standards and Professional Development Directorate. The majority of our work is running a range of projects for client organisations, helping them to adopt our Profession Map standards, or assessing their HR teams against them. In the last few years we’ve helped the NHS and the Civil Service develop a version of our Profession Map, and we’ve run over 30 different assessments projects with clients in the UK and internationally. We also run the CPD audit for members, and ensure the Profession Map and Code of Conduct are up to date.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Providing project support for all our client projects
* Creating and manage project plans where required
* Sourcing, co-ordinating and liaising with suppliers, consultants, internal team members to ensure projects can run to time and budget
* Organising and scheduling client workshops, assessments and meetings, and supporting the running them where needed
* Being a point of contact for assessment candidates
* Creating, managing and maintaining data sets on Power BI, and using them to create visuals which tell a story about client data
* Developing presentations to use with our clients
* Supporting the financial side of projects by raising POs, issuing schedules of work, tracking invoices and cross-charging
* Acting as champion for cross-CIPD work, such as our risk log, being our brand and GDPR champion, and ensuring our team are up to date on any changes

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

* Logical, detailed and organised approach to work which is client-focused
* Attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience of working with a wide group of internal stakeholders and external clients
* Ability to work with a number of stakeholders at the same time
* Good communication skills – written and oral
* Excellent written English, including spelling and grammar
* Experience of managing customer-facing projects
* Experience of working with Power BI (or similar tools) to analyse and visually display data (or the skill to learn and use it)
* Confident in using technology such as Teams and online tools like Miro
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks to ensure timely completion of projects and efficient use of resources
* Able and willing to operate flexibly, and switch priorities as required in the team
