Job Description

Portfolio Manager – Funds (Enterprise Capital Funds Team)

Location: Sheffield / Hybrid Working

(Expectation that you will attend an office 2 days per week)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: £47,500 - £57,750 Depending on Experience

Please note that any same band and job family internal moves will not present any pay increase

The Role

As a Portfolio Manager in our ECF team, you’ll be responsible for managing existing ECFs, developing and improving portfolio management processes, and ensuring our interests are represented in all fund relationships...

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing consent requests, contract variations, and other commercial interactions with Fund Managers.
  • Engaging with public and private Limited Partners to align interests and inform decisions.
  • Monitoring and improving portfolio management processes and procedures.
  • Preparing reports and analysis on portfolio performance and composition.
  • Representing the Bank at fund-related meetings and industry events.
  • Supporting marketing and promotion of BBB-managed funds.
  • Potentially managing junior team members.

About You

We’re looking for an analytical, organised and commercially minded professional.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in financial services, such as fund management, investment banking, accountancy, corporate finance, commercial lending, or small business finance.
  • Strong commercial understanding of small business finances or fund-of-funds investing.
  • Experience improving processes and working collaboratively across teams.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Excellent organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills. It would be an advantage if you also have: Experience in contract management, variations, dispute resolution, or termination processes. Experience analysing and reporting on fund or SME data. A track record of managing stakeholder relationships.
