Project Director – Energy (Power Plants)

About the Opportunity

At Azizi Developments, we are a values-driven organization expanding into the energy sector, seeking a talented Project Director to oversee large-scale power plant projects in Afghanistan and other regional locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for utility-scale power plant projects
• Engage with key stakeholders and build relationships
• Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and foster a culture of collaboration

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience in senior project management roles within construction or power generation projects.

Proven track record in delivering complex projects in emerging markets, expertise in EPC contracts, project financing, risk management, and HSE regulations. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills required.

Fluency in English required; knowledge of regional languages a plus. Willingness to work on-site in challenging locations and travel extensively.
