Accounts Portfolio Manager

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Accounts Portfolio Manager to join our team and take charge of a broad portfolio of clients. This senior position is ideal for someone who is both technically strong and passionate about client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio primarily consisting of SMEs, partnerships, and sole traders, acting as the main point of contact for clients
• Prepare and review financial statements, annual accounts, tax returns, and periodic management reports
• Provide strategic financial insights to clients for business growth and improved financial performance
• Serve as the trusted adviser for clients, handling day-to-day queries and conducting client meetings
• Supervise and mentor a team of junior accountants and trainees
• Implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations

About You

The ideal candidate is a SAICA or SAIPA qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and excellent people skills.

Key qualifications and attributes we are looking for include:

• Practice and Managerial Experience
• Technical skills in UK accounting standards and tax compliance
• Software proficiency in accounting software like Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
• Leadership and mentoring abilities
