Associate Director / Project Director – Education

Job Description

About the Opportunity

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Associate Director / Project Director to join our Project Management team in Sydney. The person in this role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Project Management in driving growth and profitability of the business unit through leadership, new business development, client management, and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead school’s pursuits and management of service excellence across all commissions.
  • Manage multiple education projects in planning and delivery.
  • Lead and manage project review and reporting mechanisms; project financial management; change control and quality reporting.
  • Support education sector leadership and local capability build of current project leaders in the broader government team.
  • Establish relationships with key departmental and senior stakeholders / client representatives.
  • Manage project teams’ performance, compliance, and expectations of resources and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Lead and manage large stakeholder groups focused on business outcomes.
  • Lead business development activities such as development of proposals, internal opportunity management, and thought leadership development.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in a relevant subject
Experience in delivering schools or social infrastructure projects in a project lead / project director capacity.
Proven ability to take on team leadership and engagement opportunities, lead, and grow teams.
Proven ability in commission management / project leadership responsibility.
