Public Sector People are working in partnership with a local council in Melbourne’s western suburbs to recruit an experienced Senior IT Project Coordinator to support a major ERP implementation program.
Location: Western suburbs
Duration: ASAP START - 19th December 2025
Working arrangement: Hybrid
Rate: $55-60 per hour plus super
About The Role
In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of a large-scale ERP system implementation by managing program schedules, risks, and stakeholder relationships. You will support the Program Director and Project Manager with high-level documentation, reporting, governance updates, and coordination across multiple streams.
Manage program schedules and coordinate stakeholder engagement throughout the design, development, and implementation of a major ERP systemProactively identify, document, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and maintain progressBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective consultation and a collaborative approach to project deliveryProvide guidance and mentorship to project teams, promoting best practices in project management, change management, and business analysisPrepare high-quality documentation, including project plans, governance reports, options papers, and communications, presenting complex issues with clear, actionable recommendations
Key Criteria:
Proven experience coordinating IT projects within the public sector, not-for-profit, education or healthcare environmentsTertiary qualifications in business admin, governance or project management, or equivalent experienceStrong skills across MS Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, Teams and enterprise document management systemsDemonstrated experience in program coordination, financial tracking, vendor liaison and reportingExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and support a wide range of stakeholdersA current Victorian Driver’s Licence and willingness to undergo a police check
