About the Opportunity

Join Banesco USA as an SBA Portfolio Manager in the SBA Portfolio Managers Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all assigned SBA loans 7(a) are monitored in strict accordance with the SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP 50 10).
  • Conduct comprehensive annual reviews on SBA relationships.
  • Prepare and process SBA servicing actions requiring lender or SBA approval.
  • Assist in gathering data for required reporting on the SBA portfolio.
  • Monitor existing lending relationships and complete required reviews.
  • Prepare monthly Watch List comments and quarterly Adversely Classified Reports.
  • Validate and analyze reports to verify compliance.
  • Work on tracking tickler requirements and policy exceptions.
  • Review and clear financial and documentation exceptions.
  • Evaluate information to determine risk rating and recommend changes.
  • Escalate issues and develop action plans.
  • Partner with Loan Officers in structuring and underwriting.
  • Prepare financial spreads and Executive Summary for credit underwriting.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and bank departments.
  • Maintain insurance policies and borrower files.
  • Monitor industry trends and analyze potential risks.
  • Complete assigned annual training program.
  • Perform other assigned functions and duties.

About You

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 1-3 years in banking, preferably in Lending or Credit areas.

SBA Experience: Minimum of 1 year in SBA 7(a) loan portfolio management, servicing, or credit analysis.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of Bank policies, credit policy, and compliance regulations.

Skills: Advanced computer skills, problem solving, analytical, communication, organizational, time-management, and customer service skills.
