About the Opportunity

A1 Personnel are seeking a proactive and skilled Project Manager to join a growing engineering business specialising in high-pressure air and gas compression systems. You’ll take ownership of high-profile projects from kick-off through to final customer handover, working closely with technical experts to deliver outstanding results for clients across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Project Design Engineers to deliver detailed technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, project plans, and risk & opportunity registers.
  • Chair internal project review meetings and provide regular progress reports.
  • Attend customer meetings, site visits, and occasional travel to Germany for training.
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying new ways to increase efficiency.

About You

Proven Project Management experience in an engineering environment. Strong mechanical understanding and, ideally, a formal engineering qualification. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with customer-facing experience. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Project. Project Management certification (PRINCE2/APM) is an advantage. UK passport, full driving licence, and ability to obtain SC Clearance. A collaborative team player with the confidence to take initiative.

Hours

08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week)

Location

UK-based with occasional travel
