Reporting To The Head Of Technology Or Tribe Lead Within The CIO Function At ING Australia, The Portfolio Manager Will Work Closely With Key Members Of The Local CIO Teams And Their Business Partners To Ensure We Maintain And Execute Our Business Strategic And Operational Objectives Consistently, With Rigour And Precision

On this role you’ll be managing the demands from various senior stakeholders (Business, Technology, Risk, etc.) both locally and globally (ING Group Headquarters) while operating effectively in an increasingly complex environment with an ambitious and challenging growth agenda.

What You’ll Do

* Oversee and coordinate the operating cadence for the Portfolio/Tribe
* Contribute to defining, maintaining, and reporting on operational and strategic metrics the track the progress for the Portfolio/Tribe’s achievements against objectives.
* Portfolio health management and champion executing efficiency initiatives across the Portfolio/Tribe.
* Assist with the coordination, preparation and review of papers on the narrative of the Portfolio/Tribe for internal and external stakeholders such as ING Board and its Committees, Executive Team, Global Stakeholders, Vendors and Regulators
* Drive continuous improvement within the Portfolio/Tribe where necessary while overseeing financial and commercial management for the Portfolio/Tribe
* Drive standardised and compliant vendor governance processes and practices across the Portfolio/Tribe including providing oversight to adherence to the processes.
* Partner with HR and the Workforce team in the Office of CIO to define and drive workforce strategy and planning for the Portfolio/Tribe to ensure alignment with other strategic programs and objectives of the Tech function.

What We’re Looking For

* 8 to 10 years’ experience in similar role providing portfolio delivery oversight and business management supporting a similar sized organization.
* Proven experience supporting a senior leader (GM/Head of) in Technology.
* Proven ability to critically review Executive level papers, Steering committee packs and provide a summary and feedback to a Senior leader.
* Expert level Experience in Portfolio/Program/Project Management preferable on large scale transformation and/or delivery teams
* Experience producing professional papers of portfolio/Tribes for internal and external stakeholders as well as external Vendors and FSI Regulators
* Deep understanding of Australia regulatory standards and regulatory environments, ideally within the Financial Industry
* Solid understanding of Technology concepts (infra, architecture, delivery, data, cloud, security, IT risks etc.) and the impact it has within a digital business model.
