Junior Project Coordinator

Job Description

About the Opportunity

Job Title: Junior Project Coordinator
Location: Singapore

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Project Coordinator to support our project management team. You will be the "pulse" of the project—tracking timelines, facilitating communication between departments, and ensuring that all project documentation is meticulous. This is an ideal role for an aspiring Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys bringing order to complex tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Project Tracking: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met on time.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, and maintain a centralized "source of truth" for all project files.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales) and external vendors to ensure clear communication.
  • Resource Management: Monitor project resources, including equipment and manpower, and highlight potential bottlenecks to the Project Manager.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Schedule and coordinate project "stand-ups" and steering committee meetings; follow up on all action items.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure project deliverables meet the company’s quality standards and comply with local Singapore regulations.

Eligibility

Education: Diploma or Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience (Internship experience in project coordination is a major plus).
Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, or MS Project).
Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask across different workstreams.
Communication: Strong verbal and written English. Ability to navigate Singapore’s multicultural corporate landscape with professionalism.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
  • Basic understanding of Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or equivalent introductory certification.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM (if applying for Construction/Interior Design sectors).

Benefits

Competitive basic salary, 13th-month bonus (AWS), and comprehensive medical coverage.

💡 Pro-Tips for Singapore Hiring

  • The "Local" Context: If the project involves on-site work (like Retail fit-outs or Construction), mention if a Class 3 Driving License or Safety Certifications (BCSS) are required.
  • Multitasking is Key: Singaporean employers value "Street Smarts." During interviews, ask for examples of how they handled two conflicting deadlines—this is the #1 skill for a Coordinator.
  • Digital First: By 2026, most Singaporean firms expect "Digital Fluency." Candidates who can demonstrate they’ve used Automation tools (like Zapier) to streamline admin tasks will stand out.
