Investment Portfolio Manager

About the Opportunity

The Portfolio Manager maintains responsibility for managing the client’s investment strategy. Working with the Busey Advisory Team, the Portfolio Manager will help develop an investment strategy and manage the client’s investment portfolio according to the established goals and objectives for the client, and in accordance with all internal and regulatory investment and fiduciary guidelines. The Portfolio Manager will also provide proactive portfolio monitoring and oversight, in conjunction with Busey’s Investment Strategies Team. Regular communication with clients regarding latest market developments, investment positioning and investment performance will also be the responsibility of the Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client portfolios and administer client accounts within prescribed investment and fiduciary guidelines
  • Work as part of a relationship team to deliver clients a diverse set of financial solutions
  • Develop an understanding of each client’s specific investment goals and objectives
  • Determine client’s risk profile and educate about various strategies
  • Provide ongoing client communication, monitoring, and portfolio rebalancing
  • Play an active role within the relationship management team
  • Oversee and manage client relationships with an emphasis on fiduciary risk management
  • Remain informed of developments in security markets and economic environment
  • Participate in business development activities and assist in securing additional assets from existing clients

About You

Knowledge of:

  • Proven decision making, sales, and negotiating skills
  • Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Clear communication skills in explaining financial principles
  • Strong attention to detail and portfolio management software

Ability to:

  • Assist in client prospecting efforts and attend client meetings
  • Attend and participate in local region’s client events & activities

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of investment management experience

Compensation And Benefits

Salary offered is based on factors, including job duties, qualifications, experience, and local market trends.

Base Pay Range: $105,000 - $135,000 annually
