About the Opportunity

Job Title: Project Engineering Lead
Location: Sheffield, UK
Contract Type: Hybrid, Permanent
Salary & Benefits: Competitive package including car allowance, bonus, pension, and holiday entitlement
Sector: Chemical Manufacturing, Steel, Renewables, Nuclear

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all project engineering activities
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing engineering team
  • Manage resource allocation and project prioritisation
  • Provide technical and leadership guidance
  • Ensure project designs meet stakeholder expectations
  • Monitor progress and performance through project management tools

About You

Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)
10+ years’ experience in project or industrial engineering environments
Chartered Engineer status preferred
Proven leadership experience managing project engineering teams
Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols
Track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines
Proactive, results-driven, with excellent communication and transparent reporting skills

Eligibility

Chartered Engineer status preferred.
