About the Opportunity
The Credit Card Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the performance, growth, and profitability of the bank’s credit card portfolio, with a strategic focus on developing and driving installment plan products. This includes lifecycle management, customer engagement, pricing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance product uptake and usage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow the credit card portfolio through installment plan offerings (e.g., Cash on Card, EPP or post-purchase conversions including statement balances).
- Analyze customer behavior and transaction data to identify opportunities for installment plan adoption - especially through building strong propensity models.
- Monitor portfolio KPIs including activation, usage, balances, and profitability.
- Design and launch new installment products tailored to customer segments and merchant partnerships.
- Collaborate with product, risk, and technology teams to ensure seamless customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Optimize pricing, tenures, and merchant discount rates to drive uptake across channels including telesales and digital, establishing excellence in offering across the industry.
- Work closely with credit risk teams to ensure installment plans are aligned with underwriting policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor delinquency trends and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with marketing and analytics teams to develop targeted campaigns promoting installment plans.
- Drive digital adoption through app-based and online installment conversion journeys.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders including finance, operations, legal, and compliance to ensure product success.
- Manage relationships with external partners such as merchants, networks.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.
5+ years of experience in credit card portfolio management or consumer lending.
Strong understanding of installment lending, credit risk, and customer lifecycle management.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data tools (Excel, SQL, SAS, etc.).
Excellent communication and project management skills.
