About the Opportunity
Hiring: Portfolio Manager (Short-Term Insurance)
Location: Pretoria | Hybrid / On-site
Market-related salary R40,000 - R50,000 Negotiable (based on experience)

Responsibilities
- Manage, retain, and grow portfolios with key insurers
- Build strong, trusted relationships with insurer partners
- Analyse portfolio performance and drive profitability
- Oversee financial and management reporting
- Partner with insurers on underwriting and claims processes
- Manage operational cycles: reconciliations, payments, reporting
- Mentor and support the service advisor team
- Contribute to strategy, planning, and product enhancement
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Mentor claims and underwriting consultants
About You
Requirements
- 5+ years in short-term insurance portfolio/account management
- Higher Certificate in Short-Term Insurance (NQF 5)
- Strong analytical, financial, and reporting capabilities
- Excellent relationship-building & negotiation skills
- Fully Bilingual essential: Afrikaans and English
- Experienced with insurance systems
- FAIS-compliant + RE5 certified
- Tertiary qualification in Finance/Business/Insurance (advantageous)
