Project Director-Gas

About the Opportunity

The PD Gas, reporting to the General Manager, Capital & Strategic Projects, R&D and CI (GM C&SP), is accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective further development and translation of the gas business strategy from Transnet Group Strategy and delivery of studies/projects that form part of the gas programme by Transnet Pipelines (TPL).

Responsibilities

• Ensure sound capital investment programme planning, execution, and management in line with the gas business priorities and aligned with Group and TPL gas strategy.
• Establish an integrated, planned, and coordinated approach for capital and strategic projects focused on gas to achieve medium to long-term business targets.
• Provide routine feedback to Project Sponsors, GM C&SP, and the gas business team on progress, issues, and concerns.
• Participate in project-related activities, ensuring governance, controls, and implementation of gas business projects.
• Review project progress regularly with stakeholders and provide support, advice, and guidance to the project team.

About You

• Mandatory: BSc Eng / B Eng / BSc Honours Construction Management or equivalent
• Professional Registration as PrCPM in terms of SACPCMP requirements
• Advantageous: Masters/ Bachelors in management related disciplines i.e. MBA, MBL, MSc Project Management, BCom
• At least 12 years of total experience in hydrocarbon/petrochemical sectors, with a minimum of 8 years in a Senior Project Management position
