About the Opportunity

Our client is an international, multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple high-profile architectural projects from concept through completion.
• Oversee design and construction processes, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Provide strategic direction to maintain and execute the design vision.
• Lead, mentor, and develop architects, designers, and project managers.
• Delegate tasks while ensuring accountability and professional growth.
• Coordinate with internal teams, engineers, and external consultants to resolve design challenges.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients.
• Communicate regularly to provide updates, manage expectations, and address concerns.
• Translate client requirements into actionable design solutions aligned with project objectives.
• Create comprehensive project plans with milestones, deadlines, and resources.
• Implement and manage schedules for timely delivery of all project phases.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage project budgets with cost-control measures.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure efficient allocation of personnel and materials.
• Deliver high-quality design solutions meeting client and regulatory standards.
• Conduct project reviews and audits to ensure compliance and quality.
• Identify and mitigate risks proactively to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, specifications, contracts, and communications.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management highlighting achievements, risks, and recommendations.
• Ensure all project changes are documented and communicated to stakeholders.

About You

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture. Professional certification or chartered status preferred.
Over 15 years of experience in architecture, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex architectural and construction projects.
Knowledgeable about UAE building codes, standards, and regulations.
Proven track record delivering large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects in architecture and design.
Familiarity with sustainability and green building practices (LEED, BREEAM) is highly valued.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
Solid technical understanding of engineering design and construction practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with business and financial insight into project management.
Proficient in design software and project management tools (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, MS Project, Primavera).
Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach.
